The appearance of the Last Dragonborn was prophesied upon Alduin's wall, found within Sky Haven Temple. It depicts several events that would preface the return of the Nordic God of Time, Alduin.

The prophesy itself is dire, but scholars believed that its omens had been fulfilled and that a single individual, gifted with the same powers of the Thu'um held by the dragons themselves, may rise to fight against Alduin and assure Nim's survival.

Biography

Early Years

Nessa Herathram was the child of refugees that moved to Skyrim after the Red Mountain blew in Morrowind. She grew up in the Gray Quarter of Winterhold, surrounded by racism and the constant abuse of her people.

Halgen

When she was of age, she decided to leave Skyrim all together, and go somewhere her kind is treated better and respected as intelligent people. But on her way across the border, she was captured by the Imperial soldiers stationed in that area, and taken to Halgen to be executed.

Nessa was captured trying to cross the border from Skyrim to Cyrodill, and was then taken to the town of Halgen to be executed with other criminals. Nessa's execution was disrupted by the appearance of Alduin, the dragon god, attacking the town. In the ensuing chaos, Nessa escaped with one of the other prisoner's help. From there, it was discovered that Nessa was in fact, The Dragonborn, the being prophesied by the Nords as the one to end the blight of the newly awakened dragons.
